It also provides family support, education grants, and transition programs. By addressing urgent needs and long-term recovery, the Fund helps wounded warriors regain independence and thrive after service.

Dogs2DogTags is a nonprofit helping veterans with PTSD or anxiety transition to civilian life by pairing them with rescued, professionally trained service or support dogs at no cost. Along with the dog, veterans receive ongoing training, supplies, veterinary care, and housing during the program, ensuring they have the tools and support needed for long-term success. These partnerships provide companionship, structure, and emotional stability, giving veterans renewed confidence, purpose, and a stronger path forward.

and Horses
Heroes and Horses is a nonprofit helping combat veterans heal and rebuild their lives through a 41-day wilderness program that combines backcountry challenges, horsemanship, fitness, and mindset training. By working with wild horses and living in remote nature, participants rediscover self-reliance and clarity. The experience builds resilience and a renewed sense of purpose, equipping veterans with the confidence and strength to transition into civilian life.

Base Abbate
Patrol Base Abbate is a nonprofit creating community and purpose for veterans through retreats, local chapters, and shared activities. At their off-grid base in Montana, veterans gather for themed retreats including fitness, outdoor skills, art, and reading while building camaraderie and reconnecting with nature. With chapters across the country, PB Abbate provides ongoing connection and support, helping veterans combat isolation, find belonging, and rediscover a sense of mission after service.
