Our logo at 3rd Deck Brewing Co. was designed to be bold, impactful, and instantly recognizable – something that stands out, but also stands for something. The solid brandmark features three men, each representing our three flagship beers, brewed in honor of the three we brew for, all sharing a beer together.

While simple in appearance, the image carries deep meaning. The name itself draws from where we lived on our military base in the “barracks.” Our safe place, the top floor, known as the 3rd Deck, provided overwatch to all below. Today, it serves as a symbol that our brothers still watch over and guide us.

This mark captures the heart of our mission: honoring the fallen, staying connected, and always watching out for one another. Whether seen on a can, a hat, or a tap handle, we hope it always reminds people of why we do what we do.

Founder & CEO

Gabriel Krengel

Marine Corps veteran and founder of 3rd Deck Brewing Co., Gabriel created the brewery to honor fallen heroes and provide meaningful support to their families. Driven by the loss of his brothers in arms, he combines proven leadership and sharp business acumen with a deep sense of purpose to ensure the mission is carried out with integrity, strategy, and lasting impact.

Gabriel served alongside Sergeant Christopher Kopet, Petty Officer 2nd Class Timothy Clay, and Sergeant Thomas Spitzer. Their legacies are now inseparable from the fabric of 3rd Deck Brewing Co. Under his leadership, the company pursues sustainable growth while authentically connecting with communities, raising awareness, supporting Gold Star families, and addressing the urgent issue of veteran suicide through long term charitable initiatives.

Joseph Alfieri

Marine Corps veteran and Co-Founder of 3rd Deck Brewing Co., Joe holds a vision to merge creativity, community, and remembrance into something lasting. As the brand’s creative lead, he focuses on honoring fallen service members, supporting Gold Star families, and raising awareness for vital veteran programs. For Joe, 3rd Deck Brewing is more than beer; it is a living tribute that brings people together through stories worth remembering.

Matthew Greco

Matthew Greco is the Chief Sales Officer at 3rd Deck Brewing Co., driving all sales growth and overseeing 3rd Deck Brewing Co.’s dynamic multi-state distribution operation. With over ten years of high-impact sales experience and a precision-honed logistics background from his service as an Army National Guard Aviation Operations Specialist, Matthew ensures 3rd Deck Brewing Co.’s mission-driven beers reach the right markets with maximum efficiency and impact. He builds strong partnerships with retailers and distributors, relentlessly expanding 3rd Deck Brewing Co.’s footprint while staying laser-focused on the core mission: To become the largest charitable donor to Gold Star families and veterans in need across America.

CURT BELLAR

Curt brings over 35 years of experience in food and beverage to a mission that’s deeply personal. As the uncle of Sergeant Thomas Spitzer, a fallen Marine whose legacy is central to the brewery’s purpose, Curt leads with both heart and expertise. His deep operational knowledge ensures the company scales with discipline, consistency, and heart. With a proven track record of building businesses and leading high-performing teams, Curt’s expertise is perfectly aligned to drive 3rd Deck Brewing Co.’s mission forward.

Vice President of Distribution

Tyler Caporale

A former Army Mortarman, Tyler served in Afghanistan in 2013 and brings deep purpose to his role. He leads distribution strategy, manages key partnerships, and works to deliver both great beer and meaningful impact. His experience in Paktia Province shapes his continued commitment to honoring the fallen and supporting veteran reintegration. Tyler is also dedicated to expanding logistics capabilities and ensuring the mission is represented in every can delivered.
